What drives us?

The environment
and people's health.

A global challenge.

Over the past 150 years, decentralised, self-sustaining agriculture has developed into centralised and industralised agriculture. The result? Massive environmental challenges. Today's food system is the biggest driver of climate change, leading to soil destruction and biodiversity loss.

A personal challenge.

The centralisation of agriculture has led to plants being optimised for mass and logistics - not for us humans. But what does that mean?

A deeper dive...
The 9 Planetary Boundaries.

While the climate crisis is talked of a lot in the media, it is in fact not the most urgent challenge we are facing. Did you know that eight other environmental system boundaries exist, with biochemical processes and species extinction in particular posing the highest risk of destabilising the Earth system? These changes are caused by us humans, with conventional agriculture in particular being a strong influencing factor. After all, phosphate and nitrogen are two of the three most important building blocks of plants.

Mit unserem smarten Indoor Gardening System hast du ab sofort immer frische Greens zuhause.

Und das ganz einfach nach dem
"Plug & Grow"- Prinzip: Seedbar einsetzen und genießen.

Our green commitment.

In order to not only do something for your health with the Plantcube, but also for our planet, we at Agrilution rely on holistic thinking in all our business areas and are constantly working on making materials and processes as sustainable as possible.

Business as usual?

The best
from nature.

We care about environmentally friendly
materials. Because for us, sustainability
is also part of the packaging.

Recyclable packaging

100% paper and 0% plastic, it can be recycled as waste paper.

Space for three
Seedbars

We refrain from using individual packaging which reduces waste.

Compostable Seedbars

After harvesting, the Seedbar can of course be thrown on the compost or organic waste.

And what about CO2?

Through the production of our products and along our supply chain, emissions are generated. We emit 378.11 kg of CO2 equivalent per Plantcube and 159.5 g per Seedbar.* We measure and reduce these emissions. We offset unavoidable emissions through projects. This makes us basically CO2-neutral, but this will not diminish our further efforts.

We've already compensated 456,890kg CO2*

Through offsetting, we support the protection of forests in the eastern province of Zambia.
*2019

But we also know...

... that this compensation cannot solve the root cause of the problem. That is why we are constantly working to minimise our externalities. By optimising our production processes and supply chains, we want to avoid any negative aspects for our environment in the first place.

Quality is one of our top priorities.
Just as efficiency of resources.

To ensure that you get something out of your Personal Vertical Farm for a long time...

... and that our planet is not burdened by unnecessary consumption of resources, we make sure that only the highest quality materials are used in the construction of the Plantcube.

Made in Europe.

The production of the Plantcube takes place in Slovakia, our Seedbars are manufactured in the Munich office.

Cradle-to-Cradle Principle.

If it is time to say goodbye to your Plantcube, we also pay attention to resource efficiency here. That's why the Plantcube is constructed in such a way that it can be completely disassembled into its individual parts even after use. This makes it easier to use components and raw materials for other purposes. For example, there is no insulating foam, as you will find in refrigerators, and the Plantcube has no adhesive bonds.

And how are you helping?

By using the Plantcube, you are not only saving water, but also pesticides, packaging and transport routes, which - as we have learned - are all harmful to the environment. By using 100% green electricity in the office and production, by carbon offsetting and by continuous improvements towards sustainability, the Plantcube is CO2-neutral until it reaches your doorstep. And after that? After that, it's up to YOU! Because only together can we make a difference.
